Two-day class for beginners and intermediate turners.
Class will include:
Safety.
Tool selection and sharpening.
The workings of a woodturning Lathe.
Blank preparation and grain orientation.
Mounting a blank on the lathe stressing safety.
Roughing out a bowl, green and dry blanks.
Finish turn a bowl.
Sanding and finishing.
Tools required.
½ inch bowl gouge
Sharpening Jig by Wolverine or Tru-grind by Woodcut.
Safety equipment required.
Face shield
Safety glasses
Dust mask
Coffee and snack provided. Bring your own lunch.
